About Me
Dr. Janice Clara Liao is an ophthalmologist specializing in oculoplastics at Kaiser Permanente in Colorado. She grew up in Michigan and attended the University of Michigan for both college and medical school. She completed her ophthalmology residency at Duke University and then pursued advanced training with an oculoplastics fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin. After practicing in New York City for several years, she moved to Denver to be closer to family and has been enjoying the Colorado lifestyle ever since.
Dr. Liao's practice focuses on oculoplastics, which encompasses a wide range of conditions affecting the eyelids, eye sockets, and tear ducts. She treats patients with diverse issues, from impaired vision due to droopy eyelids to eyelid cancers and eye problems related to thyroid disease. She takes time to listen to each patient's concerns and works collaboratively to develop a personalized care plan. As a specialist, a referral is required to schedule an appointment with her.
Outside of work, Dr. Liao balances her life by spending time with family, traveling internationally, cooking, reading, exploring Denver's food scene, and exercising. She is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Spanish, which allows her to communicate effectively with a broader range of patients.
