Meet Dr. James E. George

Dr. James E. George is a board-certified ophthalmologist at St. Paul Eye Clinic, providing comprehensive eye care with a particular focus on cataract surgery. Dr. George graduated summa cum laude from Creighton University with a degree in biology and earned his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He completed his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Minnesota, where he was recognized with the Harry Plotke Award for outstanding performance as a senior resident. He has been with St. Paul Eye Clinic since 1996 and has performed thousands of cataract surgeries, paying close attention to patients’ pre-operative desires and expectations as well as careful detail during and after surgery.

Dr. George treats a wide range of eye conditions through comprehensive ophthalmology, helping patients achieve the best vision possible. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Minnesota Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.
