About Me
Dr. Iain Decker is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Huron Ophthalmology, serving patients in the Ann Arbor area. He specializes in comprehensive ophthalmology, cataract surgery, and eyelid surgery, providing personalized care with a focus on achieving optimal visual outcomes.
A native of Grosse Pointe, Dr. Decker completed his undergraduate studies at Johns Hopkins University and earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Michigan State University. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Kettering Health Network in Dayton, Ohio, where he served as Chief Resident and received the Patrick Murray Award and Presidential Resident Recognition Award. Before joining Huron Ophthalmology, he was a staff physician for four years at Beloit Health System in Wisconsin.
Dr. Decker is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He maintains a special interest in optics, refractive outcomes after cataract surgery, and intra-ocular lens technology. Outside of practice, he is an Eagle Scout who enjoys spending time outdoors, playing tennis and golf, and being with his family.
