Meet Dr. Hina N Ahmed

Hina N. Ahmed, M.D., is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist at Ocala Eye. She specializes in advanced cataract surgery and comprehensive eye care, utilizing small incision no-stitch techniques for precise surgical outcomes. Dr. Ahmed has a primary interest in diseases of the anterior segment and premium cataract surgery.

Dr. Ahmed earned her medical degree from Wright State University School of Medicine and completed her ophthalmology residency at Case Western Reserve University. She pursued a glaucoma service fellowship at the Scheie Eye Institute at the University of Pennsylvania. She joined Ocala Eye in 2005 before relocating to Baltimore, where she continued providing comprehensive medical and surgical eye care with a focus on community outreach and preventative eye exams. She returned to Ocala Eye in 2011.

Dr. Ahmed is known for her thorough and patient-centered approach, taking time to answer questions and ensure patients fully understand their care. She is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and holds memberships in the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Florida Medical Association, and Marion County Medical Society.
