Meet Dr. Hilda Capo

Dr. Hilda Capo is a specialist in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus. She is recognized for her expertise in strabismus and adjustable sutures, and she treats infants, children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Capo's clinical focus includes pediatric neuro-ophthalmology, adult strabismus, and conditions such as blepharospasm and hemifacial spasm. She has made significant contributions to the understanding of double vision after cataract surgery and has published on strabismus surgery outcomes.

Dr. Capo has been honored with the American Academy of Ophthalmology's Senior Achievement and Secretariat Awards and the American Association of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Honor Award. In 2021, she was named to The Ophthalmologist Power List. Dr. Capo serves as a Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology and holds the John T. Flynn Chair in Ophthalmology.
