Dr. Hanny Isawi

Dr. Hanny Isawi is an ophthalmologist practicing at Mercyhealth Harlem in Freeport, Illinois. A graduate of Freeport High School, he has returned to his hometown to provide eye care to the community and surrounding region. His clinical focus includes comprehensive ophthalmology with special interests in cataract evaluation and management, glaucoma diagnosis and management (non-surgical), dry eye treatment, age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and other retinal disease monitoring, and routine eye exams.

Dr. Isawi earned his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed his ophthalmology residency at Penn State University Hershey Eye Center. His philosophy of care is to treat each patient uniquely with honesty and the midwestern, good-natured care that is characteristic of the region, aiming for excellent outcomes.
