Dr. Gabriel Luna

Dr. Gabriel Luna is a board-certified ophthalmologist and Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology with over 15 years of clinical and surgical experience. He is widely recognized as an expert and top refractive cataract surgery specialist in central Massachusetts, particularly serving the Worcester area. Dr. Luna is known for managing complex cataract cases and serves as a trusted referral resource for both patients and physicians throughout the region.

Previously at UMass Memorial Health and UMass Chan Medical School, Dr. Luna held multiple leadership roles within the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, including Ambulatory Physician Leader, Physician Quality Officer, Director of Anterior Segment, and Operating Room Leader. In these positions, he led initiatives that enhanced surgical quality, patient safety, and operational efficiency across ophthalmic services. He is formally trained in Lean problem-solving methodologies and applies these principles to improve surgical outcomes, streamline care delivery, and elevate the patient experience.

Dr. Luna is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration at the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst. His commitment to quality improvement and patient-centered care makes him a dedicated provider for eye health needs.
