About Me
Francis (Lawson) Grumbine, MD, is an ophthalmologist at GBMC Health Partners Ophthalmology, where he provides comprehensive ophthalmic care with a subspecialty focus on oculoplastic and orbital surgery. His practice is dedicated to managing complex conditions of the eyelids and eye sockets.
He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Jefferson Medical College and completed his ophthalmology residency at Emory University. Dr. Grumbine further specialized through a fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of California. Prior to joining GBMC Health Partners, he served as a full-time faculty member at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and was the Director of Oculoplastic Surgery.
Dr. Grumbine's expertise includes the treatment of eyelid and orbital tumors, eyelid and periocular reconstruction, repair of orbital fractures, disorders of the lacrimal system, correction of eyelid malposition, and thyroid eye disease. He is also committed to medical education as the Director of Resident Education for the Ophthalmology Residency Program.
