About Me
Dr. Farzan Gorgani completed his ophthalmology residency at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital and the One Brooklyn Health system in Queens and Brooklyn, New York. He served as chief resident during his final year. He then pursued advanced fellowship training in oculoplastics, cornea, cataract, and refractive surgery under Dr. Todd Beyer, during which he mentored and operated with ophthalmology residents at Summa Akron City Hospital and helped cover the ophthalmology service at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital.
After fellowship, Dr. Gorgani joined the teaching staff at Mount Sinai’s New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. A native New Yorker, he earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Biochemistry from Stony Brook University and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine. During medical school, he was accepted into the Academic Scholars Program, dedicating an additional year to teaching medical students, conducting research, and earning a second Master of Science degree.
Dr. Gorgani holds the academic title of Clinical Assistant Professor and brings a patient-centered approach to comprehensive eye care, with specialized training in a wide range of surgical and medical eye conditions.
