Dr. Eugene Eisner
About Me
Dr. Eugene Eisner retired in June 2019 after 46 years of practice in ophthalmology. He was a founding member of the Center for Excellence in Eye Care, where he dedicated 23 years of service. Throughout his career, Dr. Eisner provided comprehensive eye care, treating conditions such as dry eye, eye infections, glaucoma, cataracts, and retinal disorders.
Dr. Eisner earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School and completed his ophthalmology residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. He served as an ophthalmologist in the Navy at Bethesda Naval Hospital before establishing his practice in Miami. He also held voluntary faculty positions at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.
Beyond patient care, Dr. Eisner held numerous leadership roles, including Chief of Staff and Chief of Ophthalmology at Baptist Hospital, and President of the Miami Ophthalmology Society. He is remembered for his genuine care and dedication to his patients.
