About Me
Dr. Erin Godbout grew up in Norfolk, Virginia, and completed her undergraduate education at the University of Virginia before returning to Norfolk for medical school at Eastern Virginia Medical School. After an internship in internal medicine in Baltimore, she completed her ophthalmology residency at Albany Medical College in New York. She then pursued advanced training in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery through a fellowship at the University of Washington in Seattle before moving to Colorado to join Kaiser Permanente.
In her practice, Dr. Godbout places the highest priority on clear communication with her patients, ensuring they have the information needed to make informed decisions about their care. She strives to make every patient feel comfortable and confident in their medical choices. Working within the Kaiser Permanente system allows her the time and resources to focus on patient needs without pressure to perform unnecessary tests or treatments. She particularly values the continuity of care and long-term patient relationships that her specialty in oculoplastics affords.
Outside of work, Dr. Godbout enjoys spending time outdoors with her fiancé and their Labrador retriever. She can often be found skiing, hiking, or playing tennis. She also values time with friends and family and enjoys traveling.
