About Me
Emily Li, MD, is an oculoplastic and reconstructive surgeon at the Wilmer Eye Institute who specializes in functional and cosmetic surgery of the eyelids, forehead and face. She also performs surgery on the tear drainage system, treats orbital conditions and offers endoscopic approaches when appropriate. Dr. Li cares for patients across the age spectrum and emphasizes natural, durable results that protect eye health and vision.
Dr. Li completed the eight-year Program in Liberal Medical Education at Brown University, followed by ophthalmology residency at Yale. She then completed the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS) fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Washington Medical Center. Her interests include orbital trauma and surgical techniques in oculoplastics, and she enjoys teaching and developing curricula. Patients value her clear explanations, gentle technique and attention to both function and appearance.
