Meet Dr. Durga Borkar

Durga Borkar, MD, is a retina specialist who focuses on treating conditions affecting the back of the eye. Her practice includes injection and laser-based treatments in the clinic, as well as managing complex surgical cases in the operating room. She cares for patients with diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal vascular occlusion, macular edema, macular holes, epiretinal membranes, vitreomacular traction, secondary intraocular lens placement, and complex retinal detachments.

Dr. Borkar is dedicated to the science of retinal disease and is committed to helping her patients achieve their best possible vision. Many of the conditions she treats require ongoing care, and she values the opportunity to build relationships with patients and their families over time through regular visits.

Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Borkar enjoys spending time with her husband, running, and traveling.
