Meet Dr. Devon Joiner

Dr. Devon Joiner is an ophthalmologist who provides comprehensive medical and surgical eye care with a focus on clear communication and shared decision-making. Originally from Vancouver Island, he brings a unique background as a former classical pianist and approaches each visit with the same careful preparation and attention to detail. Patients value his compassion, efficiency, and commitment to preserving vision through pragmatic, stepwise care.

Dr. Joiner cares for adults with cataracts, glaucoma, and common anterior segment conditions, and coordinates closely with subspecialists when needed. His training includes medical school at Columbia University, internship and ophthalmology residency at Montefiore/Albert Einstein, and practice across Optum locations in the Hudson Valley. He enjoys educating patients on preventive eye health and helping them choose treatments that align with their goals and daily routines.
