About Me
David Ellenberg, M.D. is a retinal specialist with a strong background in ophthalmology. He earned his medical degree with honors from Wayne State University School of Medicine and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society for his academic excellence and compassionate care. Dr. Ellenberg completed his ophthalmology residency at The Krieger Eye Institute at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, where he served as chief resident, followed by a rigorous two-year Vitreoretinal Surgery and Medical Retina Fellowship at the same institute.
He has made numerous contributions to the field through published papers and presentations at national and international conferences. Dr. Ellenberg lectures on advanced surgical techniques for vitreo-retinal diseases. His clinical expertise includes diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, retinal detachment repair, and various medical and surgical retinal conditions.
Beyond his practice, Dr. Ellenberg is an active community advocate. He received a Community Service Award for providing eye care to the homeless through Health Care for the Homeless. He is dedicated to ensuring that every patient receives compassionate and comprehensive retina care.
