Dr. David Goldman

Dr. David J. Goldman is a senior staff surgeon and clinician specializing in comprehensive ophthalmology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. He provides a full range of clinical and surgical eye care, with expertise in treating cataracts and performing routine eye exams. Dr. Goldman has a special interest in visual training and enhancement for optimal performance in sports, serving as the team ophthalmologist for both the Detroit Pistons and the Detroit Lions.

He holds several leadership roles within the Department of Ophthalmology, including Vice Chair for Education and Residency Program Director. Dr. Goldman was recently appointed director of the Detroit Institute of Ophthalmology, which focuses on advancing research in artificial vision.
