About Me
Dr. David Fingerhut is a board certified ophthalmologist and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons who specializes in medical and surgical retinal diseases. He is a full-time associate at the Charles Retina Institute, providing comprehensive care for vitreoretinal conditions. His practice focuses on the medical and surgical management of complex retinal disorders.
Dr. Fingerhut completed his residency in Ophthalmology at Montefiore Medical Center and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He then pursued a two-year medical and surgical retina fellowship at the Eye Specialty Group and Vitreoretinal Foundation in Memphis. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retinal Surgeons, and the American College of Surgeons.
He has authored several publications on retinal conditions, including studies on photodynamic therapy for polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy and vitreomacular adhesion in age-related macular degeneration. Dr. Fingerhut previously practiced in Raleigh, North Carolina, and now resides in Memphis with his family.
