About Me
Dr. Bacal is a board-certified pediatric ophthalmologist who has been caring for patients at Eye Physicians and Surgeons, P.C. since 1997. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of children's eye conditions, including amblyopia (lazy eye), strabismus (crossed eyes), and other eye movement disorders. He also treats adults with strabismus. Dr. Bacal is committed to providing comprehensive eye care for the whole family, from routine pediatric eye exams to specialized surgical care.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Bacal serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at Yale-New Haven School of Medicine, where he trains future ophthalmologists. He is an active researcher and has been involved in numerous clinical trials through the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group (PEDIG), focusing on amblyopia treatments. Patients can expect thorough evaluations and a compassionate approach tailored to each child's needs.
Dr. Bacal is affiliated with several hospitals in the region, including Yale-New Haven Hospital and Milford Hospital. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.
