Dr. Darin Bowers

Dr. Darin Bowers is an ophthalmologist specializing in advanced cataract surgery and LASIK at Piedmont Eye Center in Lynchburg, Virginia. With over 30 years of surgical experience, he offers a range of cataract surgery options including premium multi-focal and light-adjustable lens implants that can be fine-tuned after surgery. He is also a VISX-certified Custom LASIK provider, offering personalized laser vision correction.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Bowers is actively involved in clinical and surgical research trials to advance ophthalmic treatments. He serves as a clinical assistant professor of ophthalmology at Liberty University College of Medicine and contributes to the American Academy of Ophthalmology's educational publications. He has participated in ophthalmic medical missions in Honduras since 2005 and co-founded the non-profit Health In Sight Mission of Roatan.
