Dr. Daniel Coden

Dr. Coden is an ophthalmologist and eye surgeon with over three decades of experience in San Diego. He is board certified and nationally recognized in his field. Known as the "Eye Surgeon's Eye Surgeon," he is trusted by other eye surgeons for their own care and that of their family members.

Dr. Coden has performed laser vision correction on Olympic cyclists and professional tri-athletes, and he has cared for the ophthalmic needs of professional athletes from the former San Diego Chargers and the San Diego Padres. He is a Senior Staff Physician at Scripps Memorial Hospital, La Jolla and has been in practice in San Diego since 1990.

His expertise includes LASIK and eyelid cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Coden is committed to advancing eye care through research, having published numerous articles and textbook chapters, and through education, having lectured internationally and received a Senior Teaching Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
