Dr. Charles Heaton

Dr. Charles L. Heaton is a board-certified ophthalmologist and the founder of Heaton Eye Associates, where he provides comprehensive vision care to patients in East Texas. He specializes in LASIK and advanced cataract surgery, having performed over 20,000 surgical procedures since founding the practice in 1983.

Dr. Heaton pioneered small-incision, no-shot, no-stitch, no-patch cataract surgery, allowing for rapid vision recovery. He was the first to perform LASIK in East Texas and helped bring excimer laser technology to the region. He also offers lifestyle lens implants with cataract surgery, such as multifocal and toric lenses.
