Dr. Charles Cohn

Dr. Charles Cohn is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist who sees patients Monday through Friday in Fredericksburg. He provides a full scope of eye care, from routine eye examinations and basic contact lens fitting to a variety of ophthalmic surgeries and laser procedures.

Dr. Cohn was raised in the Texas Hill Country and graduated valedictorian from Medina High School in 2002. He completed his undergraduate education, graduating cum laude with a B.A. in Biology from the University of Rochester in 2005, before attending medical school at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and his ophthalmology residency at Texas Tech University Health Science Center, where he was named Chief Resident and received awards for best Grand Rounds Presenter and highest board examination scores.

Dedicated to global health, Dr. Cohn travels annually with Medical Ministry International to perform eye surgeries in underserved countries, having completed mission trips in Mexico, Colombia, Guatemala, and Jamaica. He shares his surgical expertise through a YouTube channel featuring his eye surgeries. Outside of his practice, Dr. Cohn lives in Comfort with his wife and three daughters, enjoying sports, fishing, hunting, and family time.
