Dr. Brian Stagg
About Me
Dr. Brian C. Stagg is an ophthalmologist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma. He also performs cataract surgery and has a special interest in geriatric ophthalmology, helping patients manage chronic eye conditions with a focus on preserving function and quality of life.
He earned his medical degree at the University of Utah and completed ophthalmology residency training at the John A. Moran Eye Center. He also completed graduate training in health and healthcare research at the University of Michigan (M.S.) and later pursued glaucoma fellowship training at the Duke Eye Center. Dr. Stagg’s research focuses on using modern technology to personalize glaucoma care so that each patient receives appropriate treatment and monitoring over time. He has been recognized through acceptance into the University of Utah’s Vice President’s Clinical & Translational (VPCAT) Research Scholars Program.
