Dr. Brett Davies

Dr. Brett W. Davies is a board-certified, fellowship-trained oculoplastic and reconstructive surgeon who serves as the lead eyelid surgeon and oculoplastic specialist at Parkhurst NuVision in San Antonio. With over 6,000 ophthalmic plastic procedures performed, he has developed a strong reputation for excellent patient communication and care throughout the surgical process. Dr. Davies also holds significant academic and leadership roles as the Chief of Oculoplastic Surgery and Ophthalmology Program Director at Brooke Army Medical Center and Wilford Hall Eye Center.

Dr. Davies' path to medicine began with a master's degree in audiology, after which he joined the Air Force and earned his medical degree. He completed his ophthalmology internship and residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center and Brooke Army Medical Center, followed by a two-year fellowship in oculoplastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Colorado. His commitment to service includes a six-month tour in Afghanistan as the only ophthalmologist in theater and medical missions to Haiti and Panama.

An active researcher and educator, Dr. Davies has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, presented at more than 140 national lectures, and serves as a reviewer for multiple scholarly journals. He has received numerous awards for teaching, research, and patient care. Outside of medicine, he enjoys staying active and coaching his three children in their athletic pursuits.
