About Me
Dr. Ben (Benyamin) Ebrahim is a board-certified ophthalmologist and a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a fellowship-trained specialist in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery. After graduating with highest honors from Rutgers University, he earned his medical degree at the Rutgers University Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Dr. Ebrahim completed his internship in internal medicine at Georgetown University/Washington Hospital Center and then his ophthalmology residency at the same institution.
He further honed his skills through a cornea fellowship at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York under the mentorship of Dr. Penny Asbell, with an affiliation at Columbia University-New York Presbyterian Hospital. In addition to general ophthalmology and cataract surgery, Dr. Ebrahim specializes in corneal diseases, corneal transplants, and refractive surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Tennessee Academy of Ophthalmology. Outside of his practice, Dr. Ebrahim is actively involved in his church community in Nashville and enjoys church hymns, history, and spending time with his wife and two children.
