Meet Dr. Barbara Bowers

Dr. Barbara Bowers is an ophthalmologist at Innovative Ophthalmology in Paducah, Kentucky. She has over 25 years of surgical experience and specializes in refractive and cataract surgery. Dr. Bowers was the first surgeon in Kentucky to offer bladeless laser cataract surgery and continues to be a highly experienced bladeless cataract surgeon.

She uses advanced technology such as the LensSx Laser system for bladeless cataract surgery and was among the first in the region to perform bladeless LASIK. Dr. Bowers also introduced refractive lens surgery to the area and has implanted some of Paducah’s first toric and multifocal intraocular lenses. She is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and has served as an assistant clinical professor. Her practice provides comprehensive eye care with a focus on helping patients achieve better vision through modern surgical techniques.
