Dr. Ashim Aggarwal

Dr. Ashim Aggarwal is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in retinal diseases and surgery. He is the founder of Mid Michigan Retina PLC, a practice dedicated exclusively to the diagnosis and treatment of retinal conditions. With over a decade of service to the Mid Michigan community, Dr. Aggarwal has extensive experience performing retinal surgeries, lasers, and injections. He takes a patient-centered approach, taking time to explain conditions and treatment options thoroughly.

Dr. Aggarwal's clinical expertise includes diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal tears and detachments, vein occlusions, and other retinal disorders. He also addresses symptoms such as flashes and floaters. His training includes a fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology at Henry Ford Hospital and a fellowship in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery at the University of Kentucky. He earned his medical degree from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi. Dr. Aggarwal has authored multiple research papers and presented at national and international scientific meetings.
