Dr. Arpenik Avakian

Dr. Arpenik Avakian is a board-certified ophthalmologist with 25 years of experience. She specializes in diseases and surgery of the retina, macula, and vitreous. Since 1998, she has practiced as a retinal specialist in the Seattle area. Dr. Avakian provides comprehensive medical and surgical care for a range of retinal and vitreous conditions, including macular degeneration. She is committed to excellence and integrity in patient care.

Dr. Avakian completed advanced fellowship training in surgical and medical treatment of vitreoretinal diseases at the University of Washington. She has held faculty positions and been involved in research focused on new therapies for macular degeneration and retinal diseases. She holds hospital privileges at several leading hospitals in the region, including Northwest Hospital, Swedish Hospital, and Overlake Hospital.
