About Me

Dr. Anita Kohli is a neuro-ophthalmologist who specializes in the evaluation and treatment of vision problems that arise from the brain, nerves, and eye movement system. She cares for adults and children with symptoms such as vision loss and double vision, and offers surgical management for select cases of adult strabismus. Patients value her careful diagnostic approach, use of advanced imaging, and clear explanations that connect complex neurologic findings to personalized treatment plans. Dr. Kohli is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Science at Yale. She earned her BS with honors from the University of Maryland, received her MD magna cum laude from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Pennsylvania, and a neuro-ophthalmology fellowship at the Scheie Eye Institute/Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is active in national specialty societies. Her academic interests include MRI and ophthalmic imaging to guide care and education of residents and fellows.
