About Me
Dr. Angela Buffenn is a pediatric ophthalmologist who serves as the Director of the Orbit and Eye Movement Program at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. She also directs the Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Fellowship Program and is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California.
Her clinical and research work focuses on the surgical and medical management of strabismus, including conditions like exotropia and accommodative esotropia. Dr. Buffenn also has expertise in managing amblyopia, nasolacrimal duct obstruction, and using exam techniques to detect ocular disease in infants and children.
Dr. Buffenn is board-certified in ophthalmology and is actively involved in national leadership, serving as chair of the Ophthalmic Technology Assessment Committee Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Panel for the American Academy of Ophthalmology and as an editorial board member for the Journal of AAPOS.
