Dr. Amanda Vong

Dr. Amanda Tang Vong is an ophthalmologist who is dedicated to helping patients protect and improve their vision. Born and raised in the Los Angeles area, she completed her undergraduate studies at Cornell University and earned her medical degree at Boston University. During medical school, she became drawn to ophthalmology because vision plays such a vital role in everyday life and quality of life.

After serving as chief resident during her ophthalmology residency, she returned to Southern California to practice. Dr. Vong focuses on cataract care, including minimally invasive refractive cataract surgery. She helps patients consider lens options that match their vision goals, from standard distance-vision lenses to premium intraocular lenses (IOLs) designed to address astigmatism and near-vision needs. She strives to deliver care that is warm, ethical, and trustworthy, and finds it especially rewarding when patients share how cataract surgery has changed their lives.
