Dr. Valerie Chen

Dr. Valerie H. Chen is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained ophthalmic plastic surgeon practicing in Charlotte. She completed a highly regarded two-year fellowship with the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS) and is dedicated to providing surgical and non-surgical treatments to improve both vision and lifestyle.

Dr. Chen is passionate about the science and art of her work and is committed to delivering the best possible care with a kind and approachable bedside manner. Prior to joining Providence Eye, she served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, specializing in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Chen has planted roots in the Charlotte community and focuses on helping patients improve their field of vision and self-confidence through specialized eyelid and reconstructive procedures.
