Meet Dr. Thomas Jay Tsai

Dr. Thomas J. Tsai is a retina specialist at Retina Associates of Cleveland who treats vitreous and retinal diseases. He completed fellowship subspecialty training in vitreoretinal disorders at Harvard's Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston. A native of Portage County, Ohio, he returned to northeast Ohio to establish his private practice in 1984. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Tsai has served as a clinical instructor and has been involved in ophthalmology residency education at Summa Hospital.

His principal areas of expertise include diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, and laser treatment. Dr. Tsai has been elected by his peers for inclusion in Best Doctors in America as one of the nation's top retinal disease specialists. He provides care at the Cuyahoga Falls office of Retina Associates of Cleveland.
