About Me
Dr. Stephen R. Klapper is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery in central Indiana. He treats a range of conditions affecting the eyelids, upper face, tear duct system, and eye socket, including droopy eyelids, orbital disease, thyroid eye disease, and eyelid and facial trauma. Dr. Klapper provides both surgical procedures, such as cosmetic eyelid and forehead surgery, droopy eyelid surgery, and tear duct surgery, as well as non-surgical treatments like Botox and dermal filler injections.
Dr. Klapper completed his ophthalmology residency at Baylor College of Medicine, where he was selected as Chief Resident, followed by a fellowship in oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Ottawa Eye Institute. He has held leadership roles including Past President of the Indiana Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Eye Study Club, and has served as a Councilor for the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Klapper is dedicated to helping patients with functional and cosmetic concerns of the periorbital area and upper face.
