Dr. Shaun Brierly

Dr. Shaun Brierly serves as the Chief Medical Officer of American Vision Partners, where he is dedicated to ensuring that patients receive skilled and compassionate care from high-quality clinicians. He is a board-certified ophthalmologist with over two decades of experience.

Dr. Brierly has developed his clinical and leadership skills in diverse settings. He previously led Kaiser Permanente’s multi-subspecialty ophthalmology group in northern California, where he was voted Top Doctor by his peers in Sonoma Magazine. He also served as a U.S. Army Medical Corps officer, overseeing military eye care across five Middle Eastern countries during Operation Inherent Resolve. His background includes founding a concierge private pay ophthalmology practice and serving as Medical Director of Specialty & Ancillary services at Cigna Medical Group.

Dr. Brierly completed his medical degree at the University of California, Davis Medical School, followed by an internal medicine internship and an ophthalmology residency at the University of California, Davis Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan.
