Meet Dr. Payal Shah Patel

Dr. Payal S. Patel is a comprehensive ophthalmologist with Charlotte Eye, Ear, Nose & Throat Associates (CEENTA). She provides full-scope eye care, including routine and medical exams, treatment of common eye infections, diabetic eye care, and cataract surgery using traditional and femtosecond laser-assisted techniques. Her goal is to make decisions easy and transparent, explaining how each option may affect vision at work, on the road, or in hobbies.

Dr. Patel earned a Bachelor of Science with honors from West Virginia University and her MD from the West Virginia University School of Medicine. She completed a transitional internship at Riverside Methodist Hospital and an ophthalmology residency at Summa Health, where she served as chief resident. She has participated in research and presentations and volunteers in community health settings.
