About Me
Dr. Paul Drayna is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in diseases of the retina and vitreous. He provides expert care for conditions such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments, eye trauma, and secondary intraocular lenses. His extensive experience includes treating complex retinal cases and performing vitreoretinal surgery.
Dr. Drayna completed his undergraduate education at Hamline University, graduating magna cum laude with degrees in Biology and History. He earned his medical degree with honors from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and completed an ophthalmology residency in San Antonio. Following this, he undertook a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the University of Minnesota, which further specialized his skills in retinal care.
With 19 years of service in the US Air Force, including a role as Chief of Vitreoretinal Surgery, Dr. Drayna brings a disciplined and experienced approach to his practice in Edina, Minnesota, where he is dedicated to helping patients with retinal disorders.
