About Me
Dr. Nora Siegal is a board-certified ophthalmologist and a member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS). She is dedicated to providing solutions for eyelid and orbital conditions with a focus on achieving cosmetically oriented results. Her practice emphasizes functional and aesthetically pleasing outcomes for patients dealing with issues related to the eyelids, tear drainage system, and eye socket.
Dr. Siegal was born and raised in New York City. She graduated cum laude from Skidmore College with concentrations in Neuroscience and French Literature, and she worked at the Institut National de la Sante et Recherche Medicale (INSERM) in Paris. She completed a combined MD/PhD program at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, followed by a residency in Ophthalmology at the same institution. She then pursued a two-year fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Washington in Seattle.
With over 15 years of presenting research at national Neuroscience, Ophthalmology, and Oculoplastics meetings, Dr. Siegal has authored or co-authored more than 30 abstracts and peer-reviewed publications and has written several textbook chapters. She specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries of the eyelids and face, as well as disorders of the lacrimal system and orbit. As an ASOPRS-trained surgeon, she is part of a select group, with only about 25 such surgeons certified each year worldwide.
