Meet Dr. Neel Mukul Kumar

Neel M. Kumar, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in cosmetic and functional surgery of the eyelids, face, and lacrimal (tear duct) system. Dr. Kumar knew early on that he wanted to become a physician and has remained deeply committed to compassionate, patient-centered care throughout his career. During medical school, Dr. Kumar served on the medical school admissions committee and was honored with the Arnold P. Gold Humanism in Medicine Award, a distinction selected by fellow medical students to recognize exceptional humanism, integrity, and empathy in medicine.

He completed his ophthalmology residency in New Orleans, where he was nominated to serve as Chief Resident. Dr. Kumar then pursued advanced fellowship training in cosmetic and reconstructive oculoplastic surgery at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, and Duke Eye Hospital in Durham, North Carolina, with focused expertise in eyelid surgery, facial reconstruction, and tear duct disorders. Dr. Kumar has presented research at local and national medical meetings and remains dedicated to staying at the forefront of advancements in oculoplastic surgery. He practices at Triad Eye Institute in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he offers a comprehensive range of procedures, including ptosis repair, upper and lower blepharoplasty, eyelid and facial cancer reconstruction, tear duct surgery, and other cosmetic and reconstructive eyelid procedures. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Kumar enjoys traveling, photography, and discovering local cuisine with his wife and two children.
