About Me
Dr. Nathan Kanyinda is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained oculoplastic surgeon. He focuses on functional and cosmetic eyelid and facial procedures with a philosophy centered on precision, safety, and results that look natural. At Arizona Eye Specialists in Phoenix, he cares for adults seeking rejuvenation as well as patients needing reconstruction after skin cancer, trauma, or facial nerve palsy. Dr. Kanyinda completed medical school at the University of New Mexico, followed by internship in Hawaii and ophthalmology residency at Howard University Hospital and affiliated VA Medical Centers in Washington, DC and Orlando. He went on to an oculoplastics fellowship at the University of New Mexico Hospital, honing expertise in eyelid, orbit, and lacrimal surgery along with laser-assisted techniques. Fluent in French and proficient in Spanish, he enjoys mentoring students and engaging with the community through education. His goal is to partner with each patient, review options in straightforward language, and tailor surgical and non-surgical plans to restore comfort, function, and confidence.
