About Me
Dr. Michael C. Chappell is a board-certified ophthalmologist who focuses on oculoplastics—cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids and the tissues around the eyes. He provides care for concerns involving the eyelids, the tear drainage system, and the bones and soft tissues of the orbit, combining attention to detail with an emphasis on both function and natural appearance.
After earning his medical degree at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Dr. Chappell completed ophthalmology residency training at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco and then a two-year, ASOPRS-accredited oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship at the University of Washington in Seattle. His fellowship research received the Marvin H. Quickert Thesis Award.
In the clinic, Dr. Chappell works closely with patients to understand goals, explain options clearly, and develop a plan that fits their needs—whether the priority is comfort, vision protection, or facial aesthetics.
