Meet Dr. Marc Allen Richardson

Dr. Marc A. Richardson is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in cataracts and refractive surgery, serving the Jackson and Flowood communities. He is the newest member of Mississippi Vision Correction Center, having recently completed his residency training in ophthalmology, which focused on diseases and surgery of the eye. Dr. Richardson earned his undergraduate degree from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, Louisiana in 2008. He then attended the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana, where he received his M.D. degree in 2013. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi in June 2017.

During his training at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, Dr. Richardson gave numerous lectures, performed research on eye disease, and served as Chief Resident. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. Dr. Richardson and his wife Megan live in Madison, Mississippi with their four sons. When not treating patients, he enjoys spending time with his family, athletics, and church activities.
