About Me
Kathy Dong, MD, is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in oculofacial plastics, orbit, and reconstructive surgery. She is currently a Fellow Associate Physician in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, where she is completing advanced training in this complex subspecialty.
Dr. Dong is actively involved in ophthalmic research, with a focus on conditions and surgeries related to the orbit, eyelids, and facial structures. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national meetings, contributing to the advancement of oculofacial surgical techniques.
She is dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to patients with complex oculofacial conditions, utilizing the latest surgical techniques and treatments. Dr. Dong has been recognized for her volunteer service and research contributions in the field of ophthalmology.
