About Me
Dr. Lev Prasov is a physician-scientist who cares for patients in comprehensive ophthalmology and ophthalmic genetics. He focuses on understanding the genetic basis of eye disease, including isolated and syndromic developmental ocular disorders, and works with patients and families who may benefit from a genetics-informed evaluation.
Dr. Prasov completed his medical and graduate training through the University of Michigan Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP), earning an MD and a PhD in Human Genetics. He completed ophthalmology residency training at the University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center and fellowship training in Ophthalmic Genetics at the National Eye Institute (NIH). In addition to his clinical work, he is a NIH/NEI K08 scholar and has received recognition for early-career clinician-scientist work.
