Meet Dr. Joseph F Griffith

Dr. Joseph F. Griffith is a pediatric ophthalmologist at Boston Children’s Hospital who cares for children and families with a focus on eye alignment and vision development. He evaluates and treats strabismus (eye misalignment) and amblyopia (“lazy eye”), helping families understand what’s happening and what to expect from treatment options such as glasses, patching, and other therapies.

Dr. Griffith chose pediatric ophthalmology because each child and each age brings unique challenges—and he aims to make visits feel comfortable, even fun, while teaching parents what they need to know about their child’s eye condition. He is part of the Pediatric Strabismus Service and also cares for patients through the Adult Strabismus Service when appropriate. Dr. Griffith speaks English and Spanish.
