About Me
Dr. Ibrahim Sayed-Ahmed is a board-certified ophthalmologist who brings a comprehensive background in vision science and corneal surgery to his practice. He completed his medical degree with honors at Alexandria University and further advanced his expertise through a research fellowship at the renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, focusing on cornea and ocular surface tumors. He then earned a Master’s in Vision Science and Investigational Ophthalmology from the University of Miami and completed his ophthalmology residency at Baylor College of Medicine. His training culminated in a clinical fellowship at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, specializing in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery.
Dr. Sayed-Ahmed is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Beyond his clinical work, he has dedicated time to community service, including volunteering for blood drives and supporting the Alexandria Eye Association, which helps fund eye surgeries for patients in need.
