Meet Dr. Evan Black
About Me
Dr. Black obtained his medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine and completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of North Carolina. He then pursued subspecialty training in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery through a fellowship at William Beaumont Hospital and Kresge Eye Institute. He is board certified in ophthalmology.
Dr. Black specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids and brow. He performs cosmetic eyelid and brow surgery, Botox treatments around the eyes, and surgical management of conditions such as eyelid ptosis (drooping eyelids), eyelid tumors and reconstruction, and lower eyelid malpositions. His clinical expertise also includes brow and forehead lifting procedures.
Dr. Black serves as Professor of Ophthalmology and Program Director for the Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship at Wayne State University School of Medicine. He also holds a professorship at Oakland University/William Beaumont Hospital School of Medicine and serves as Co-Section Head of Oculoplastic Surgery at Beaumont Eye Institute. He has been recognized as a Best Doctor in America.
