Meet Dr. David M Fastenberg

Dr. Fastenberg is a senior partner and President of Long Island Vitreoretinal Consultants with over 40 years of experience treating patients with retinal conditions. He specializes in the medical and surgical management of diseases such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vascular occlusions, and actively participates in clinical trials to advance treatment options.

He holds academic appointments as Clinical Vice Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology and Co-Director of the Vitreo-Retinal Service at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, where he also serves as an Associate Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology. Dr. Fastenberg completed his fellowship in medical and surgical disorders of the retina and vitreous at the Estelle Doheny Eye Institute at the University of Southern California.
