Dr. David Buerger

Dr. David G. Buerger is an oculoplastic surgeon who returned to his hometown of Pittsburgh to care for patients. He completed his undergraduate studies at Allegheny College, where he graduated with highest honors, and received his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. Buerger then returned to Pittsburgh for an internship at Mercy Hospital before training at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, where he completed an ophthalmology residency and a fellowship in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Buerger specializes in disorders of the eyelids, tear ducts, and orbit. He performs eyelid surgery, tear duct surgery, and orbital surgery, and also offers cosmetic Botox injections. He is dedicated to providing the best treatment for these conditions and serves as a Clinical Instructor of Ophthalmology and Oculoplastic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh.

Dr. Buerger is a Fellow of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology. He practices at Pittsburgh Oculoplastic Associates in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
