Meet Dr. Crystan M Schneider

Dr. Crystan Schneider is a comprehensive ophthalmologist providing general eye care. She earned her undergraduate degree in biochemistry and her medical degree from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.

Dr. Schneider completed her ophthalmology residency at Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC, where she served as Chief Resident. She also conducted a research fellowship at Duke University, during which she became an inventor of a patented biomaterial.

Her clinical interests include general ophthalmology and dry eye disease, and she practices at the Virginia Eye Institute’s Westchester Medical Park location. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Richmond Academy of Medicine, and the Virginia Society of Ophthalmology.
